Volunteer Power Put to Action

As winter arrived in the Uco Valley, we launched a donation drive in mid-April with one heartfelt goal: to collect sneakers and warm jackets for the children attending the community kitchens we support.

The response was incredible. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we received not only shoes and coats, but all kinds of donations—each one welcomed and deeply appreciated. At the heart of this effort was Lihué, a key and constant presence in our Foundation. A member of The Vines Finance team and one of our most dedicated supporters, Lihué stepped up in a big way—personally leading the drive, sorting every donation, and ensuring that each item reached the right child. The community kitchens had shared the name, size, and location of every kid, allowing us to make each delivery personal and thoughtful.

Still, the number of children in need was greater than anticipated—and we fell short of collecting enough sneakers for everyone. But leaving a child without shoes was never an option. So we decided to purchase the remaining pairs, making sure each little one would step into winter with warmth and dignity.

Many of the donations have already been distributed, with the help of volunteers who ensured they reached the children in time. And now, as we continue organizing weekend gatherings in the community kitchens—filled with crafts, games, and warm snacks—we’ve extended an open invitation to The Vines staff to join us as volunteers.

These are not just deliveries—they are shared moments. Opportunities to connect, collaborate, and get closer to the reality and impact of the Foundation’s work. It’s the beginning of something bigger: a growing volunteer network within the company—people choosing to lead with heart, showing up, sharing their time, and building bonds that go far beyond the workplace.
