A Heart at the Center of Our Work
Lihué Sosa has been part of The Vines of Mendoza finance team for over 17 years. When she first heard about plans to support the local community, she felt an immediate calling.
“I want to be part of this,” she said. And she has been ever since.
Lihué has been with us since day one, and her commitment, perspective, and sense of purpose continue to inspire us. Growing with this project – and helping it grow – means everything to her.

«I’ve learned that when you have a committed team that wants to make a difference, amazing things can happen. There are so many people with good intentions willing to create change—and that gives me hope.»
What’s your role at the Foundation, and what does a typical day at work look like?
I work in the Finance department, where I oversee the Foundation’s income and expenses and prepare monthly reports on our financial situation. My days revolve around numbers—purchase orders, spreadsheets, team meetings—all while keeping in mind how each decision affects the work we do in both the community kitchens and the dog shelter.
What motivates or excites you most about being part of this project?
Knowing that, from my position, I can help improve the lives of so many children and their families. Feeling that our work makes a real impact is what motivates me every single day.
Has there been a special moment or achievement that marked your experience at work?
One of the most special moments was when I visited the community kitchen where my godson goes. I hadn’t met him in person yet, and seeing him, his siblings, and getting to know their mom was very meaningful. It created a much closer bond.
What are your hopes or dreams for the future within the Foundation?
I’d love to keep contributing for many more years. Seeing the Community Center up and running would be a dream come true.
What have you learned personally or professionally since working at the Foundation?
I’ve learned that when you have a committed team that wants to make a difference, amazing things can happen. You don’t have to settle or repeat “nothing will ever change.” There are so many people with good intentions willing to create change—and that gives me hope.
