Meeting Basic Needs

This initiative addresses urgent material needs—like shoes, school supplies, and winter clothing—for children and families living in vulnerable conditions.

Supporting Families Throughout the Year

Throughout the year, The Vines Foundation provides practical support to children and families across the Uco Valley through a combination of school readiness initiatives, seasonal assistance, and community events.

These efforts are designed around key moments in the year, helping ensure that children have the resources they need to participate in school, stay active during the winter months, and take part in activities that bring communities together.

School Readiness

Every March, we distribute backpacks filled with school supplies to children connected to the schools and community kitchens we support. By providing these materials at the beginning of the academic year, students can start classes with the tools they need from day one.

Winter Support

Winter in the Uco Valley can be particularly challenging for many families. Each year, we distribute new shoes to children participating in our programs and organize a winter clothing drive with The Vines staff.

Through this effort, we collect and distribute coats, sweaters, blankets, and other cold-weather essentials to families connected to the community kitchens we support. Together, these annual initiatives help children stay warm, active, and engaged throughout the winter months.

Program Impact Since 2024

Since 2024, The Vines Foundation has:

  • Distributed 580 backpacks with school supplies
  • Delivered 736 pairs of shoes to children across Tunuyán
  • Distributed more than 500 toys through Children’s Day and holiday celebrations
  • Organized 22 community events for children and families
  • Engaged children in creative activities resulting in more than 800 artworks

Through this effort, we collect and distribute coats, sweaters, blankets, and other cold-weather essentials to families connected to the community kitchens we support. Together, these annual initiatives help children stay warm, active, and engaged throughout the winter months.
